The page on careers at W3Schools is a must visit page for every person trying to start/build a career in this industry.
We here try to present brief on different options available.
Web Designer: You can choose this option if you are good at creativity. Your imaginations should be good and the page you create should make it worth a look. You are required to have skills like HTML, CSS, Image creating editing skills, flash etc.
Web programmer: A bit of a similar field it may look like, but requires fairly different skills. A web programmer should also be a 10% web designer and vice versa. As a web programmer, you need to have good programming logic. You are expected to know some database skills, a web programming language such as php, asp, .net etc.
SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR: This opportunity exists at the place where a web server is located. This will require the hardware and networking skills.
Customer support: If an internet company is giving support for the visitors, and your communication skills are good, this option may suite you.
Webmaster: A good combination of many of the above may put you in this position. You may as well own your own websites and start making a living out of it.
SEO: Search engine optimizer is a person who works on finding ways to make a site popular among search engines. Now a days, this field is attracting more and more people from other career options in this industry and it may remain a key option in future. |
